Lucknow: Under the joint aegis of the Indian Public Health Association and Shiv Physiotherapy Clinic, a health camp was organized on March 9, 2025, at Drishti Medical Store, Naubasta Kala, Deva Road, Chinhat, Lucknow, to raise awareness about hygiene and health. Around 100 patients were examined at the free health camp and were provided with necessary medical advice and medicines.
At the health camp, public health expert Dr. D.P. Yadav educated people about lifestyle-related diseases and highlighted the growing prevalence of diabetes and hypertension. He emphasized that the best way to prevent these diseases is by making lifestyle and dietary changes. He advised people to exercise for at least 15 to 20 minutes daily, consume nutritious and healthy food, and avoid stress.
Dr. Mithilesh Kumar Singh conducted diabetes and blood pressure check-ups and provided appropriate advice and medication. Senior physiotherapist Dr. Ritesh Yadav shared insights on body pain, joint pain, and muscle strains, offering valuable advice to the attendees.
Several social workers, including Suchindra Gupta, Arjun Singh, and the National President of the Bamboo Craft Federation and former Lok Sabha candidate from Mohanlalganj, Santosh Dharkar, along with Ramendra Yadav and Ajay Yadav, played an active role in supporting and contributing to the success of the health camp.
